YO Philly! Here's Your Much Needed Dose Of Reality

Allow me to begin by first reluctantly saying that I'm not so anxious to see my Dallas Cowboys win this Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. I believe a Dallas win will only prolong the firing of Head Coach Jason Garrett, thus hindering the growth of the team.
With that said, I'll still be rooting for a Dallas victory. After all... it's still the Eagles.
I'm hearing and reading the nonsense out of Philly and felt the need to get my opinion and perspective out there once again.
The Eagle fans constantly say Dallas hasn't won a title since the '90s....... really?
I'm getting close to the big 5-0 and have yet to witness a Philadelphia Eagle super bowl victory. I did however witness the Eagles LOSE their only 2 SB appearances, a pathetic 24 years apart. Eagle fans like to say Dallas fans live in the past but when you've been in the NFL since 1933 and ONLY have 3 championships, with the most recent coming in 1960. I wasn't even born yet. You literally have to be insane to downplay another franchises successes when you haven't won the ultimate prize in over 50 years.
We're talking about a city that raised boxing Champion Bernard Hopkins and was the adopted home of former world champion Joe Frazier and yet they idolize Rocky Balboa, a totally fictitious character.

Insane.
***END UPDATE***

When the Cardinals left the NFC East the Eagles became the misfits of the division by being the only NFC East team since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970 to not win a title. In fact, as stated above, Philly's last title was 10 years before the merger. Dallas' franchise came into existence the same year of Philly's last title and have a healthy 5-0 edge in Championships since. The Cowboys, Giants, and Redskins all have MULTIPLE Super Bowl wins and the Eagles have NONE.
I see Eagle fans wearing their "NFC Champions" and "NFC East Champions" gear and laugh.
I really don't care that the Eagles won more games in the Andy Reid era than Dallas. It's always about HOW YOU FINISH YOUR SEASON.
Does anyone really care that the Buffalo Bills went to and lost 4 straight Super Bowls in the 90's? Does anyone care that Buffalo won back to back AFL championships in 1964 and 1965? Not many.

More facts for the ignorant....

Dallas Cowboys leads Philadelphia Eagles (62-47)

Don't just take my word for it, see for yourself.

For those counting, Philly had a 27 year head start but only has 52 more total wins than Dallas. Philly also has an incredible 215 more total losses than Dallas.
Pathetic.

The Dallas Cowboys and the Need for Change

Dallas Cowboy bloggers are wondering whether it will be Aaron Rodgers or Matt Flynn under center when they face the Packers.
I say that it doesn't matter who the opposing QB is. Every QB seems to pick us apart anyway.
I'm keenly aware of the fact that the second straight Defensive coordinator in Dallas has had to deal with an obscene amount of injuries.
My problem with the defensive Brain Trust is the lack of adjustments employed throughout each and every game. What is successful for the opposing offenses in the first quarter is usually successful in the remaining three quarters.
The failure to adjust throughout the game applies to both sides of the ball. I often feel embarrassed by our coach's inability or stubborn refusal to adjust on the fly.
Get rid of Jason Garrett and Bill Callahan because they don't know how to get the most out of the offensive weapons at their disposal despite having a defense that struggles to keep any team under 30. I'm amazed and very disappointed in the coach's inability to get Dez double digit touches every game.
Who wants to follow a coach that handcuffs his own team each week?
I'm amazed that everyone chooses to blame the injury ravaged, patchwork defense while letting Garrett, Callahan, and Romo off the hook for calling and running plays as if we have a shutdown defense.
Why be unflinchingly conservative on offense when your defense is getting torched?
Why does Romo purposely throw the ball into the turf while going for it on 4th down and losing by a few touchdowns?
I wonder how many INT triggers Romo has written into his contract. I find it hard to believe that Romo would suddenly go from seemingly careless gunslinger to timid game manager without some anti-interception clauses inserted into his contract.
Why so few deep passes when you have a dominant weapon such as Dez ?
Why do we hear Garrett at nearly every post-game press conference making excuses but never admitting his failure to adjust throughout the game?
I've been saying for a while that Garrett's problem is he always coaches NOT TO LOSE instead of COACHING TO WIN.
We need a Head Coach that is more aggressive and innovative, a coach such as John Gruden.
I REPEAT... Jerry Jones please give Gruden what ever he wants to bring a spark and heart back to Dallas.
Get rid of Monte Kiffen and promote Rod Marinelli.
Then build a solid foundation by drafting OL/DL in the first two rounds for the next 3 or 4 years. Not the flashy draft that Jerry Jones likes but it's the draft Jerry Jones needs.
There will be a lot of promising QBs coming out of college in the next 2 or 3 years. I'm willing to bet that a passer with Franchise QB potential will be available in the third round.
Johnny Manziel and Jameis Winston come to mind as QBs that could possibly be available due to different circumstances. I can only imagine a Dallas team with one of those guys throwing deep darts to Dez and Terrance Williams. Playing behind a line with now-veteran linemen Tyron Smith, Ron Leary, and Travis Frederick and two more first or second rounders.
I can only imagine Gruden figuring out new ways to take advantage of the assets at his disposal. Garrett appears to have NO clue.
NFL teams tend to mirror their head coach.
The Cowboys are no different.
The head coach and his team haven't improved much at all.
